Have you always loved to dance but are nervous to take a class because you might feel intimidated? Are you a dancer who feels you are no longer able to move the way you used to due to injury or other limitations – but still want to dance? Or, do you simply want to move, sweat, and play in community with others? If the answer is yes, please join us for this FREE session of EmbodieDance that will give you a taste of a new, more mindful way of moving and being. In this session you will:
•Discover that you CAN dance, no matter what your life situation or your perceived abilities
•Learn new ways to move your body that is healthy, safe and feels good to YOU
•Enjoy a new approach to learning and growing that is based on personal discovery rather than a traditional command model of learning
•Begin to develop a new understanding of dance/movement as a means to living a more mindful, authentic and open-hearted life
The FREE session will begin with a short introduction in which some key concepts will be explained, followed by a few easy-going movement explorations. We will finish with a short discussion/Q & A. Please bring water and wear clothing comfortable for movement.
